Over 60 members, allies, and community members were in attendance as RAP leaders shared the history of our work in Aurora and discussed the fear and mistrust of Aurora law enforcement that has resulted from the cooperation of local police with immigration officials.  Leaders presented their solutions to the community- including the creation of an ongoing dialogue with the police and communities of color and clarification concerning police enforcement of  immigration policies.  RAP plans to take these concerns to the Aurora police in the upcoming weeks and work together to create a community in which all people feel safe and protected.
